The Community Action Toolkit from the World Resources Institute empowers marginalized communities to leverage environmental rights in combating pollution. It was developed as part of the project Strengthening the Right to Information for People and the Environment (STRIPE) in partnership with more than a dozen civil society organizations across six countries. To date, several civil society organizations and local communities have already used this toolkit to strengthen their right to a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
Targeting air, water, and solid waste issues, this resource aids communities by outlining essential environmental rights—access to information, public participation, and justice—needed to advocate for pollution control and compliance with environmental laws.
